The Growth of NYC Employee Headcount Fiscal Years 2004-2023

NYC employee growth under this recent mayor is up a lot.

From fiscal year 2014 (the last year of the Bloomberg Administration), headcount is projected to increase 11.7 percent by the close fiscal year 2019 to reach 332,285 positions. It is projected to reach an all-time high in fiscal year 2023.
